Data security

Our systems are protected and secured. As a design feature, all our servers and equipment — from the phone line through to the email server that sends to the customer — are located together, which makes interception near impossible. They sit in a world-class data centre facility in Pyrmont, hosted by Verizon, one of the largest and oldest ICT companies in the world. The facility has a global team of engineers dedicated to keeping the site up.

Online payments

All online payments are processed using industry-standard SSL encryption. Our payment gateway is a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard accredited organisation and a leading Australian payment gateway. Credit card information is never fully displayed on the website, and we will never ask you to email your card details.

Customer information

Our area of business is specific, so we work with external parties who are best in their field. When we do, our standard operating procedure is to develop applications in testing environments against dummy data. That lets partners and staff work on the core product without access to customer data.

Only what you need

We open message contents only with the express permission of the recipient, for support or other authorised purposes. Any other opening of client data — message content or otherwise — is logged, and we encourage you to supply only the information you are comfortable with. Everything you hold with us can be changed through the UTBox Member Centre at any time: what you see is what we see.

A dedicated team

We conduct our own security audits and manage our own servers, so we can be certain that only we have access to that data and that all work on it is performed by us.
